H1N1 - Warning


KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry has urged members of the public with Influenza A(H1N1) symptoms to avoid going into crowded places such as shopping malls to prevent the spread of the pande. A(H1N1) death toll rose to 59, including three more deaths.The public should be aware of their roles in containing the disease.


CARING FOR YOURSELF-STAY HEALTHY

1.Observe personal hygiene – wash your hands frequently.

2.Keep your nose clean with disposable tissues and throw the used tissues in the garbage. Wash your hands afterwards.

3.Drink plenty of fluids (a glass of water or juice every hour).

4.Eat healthily and consume sufficient supplements/ Vitamin C.

5.Exercise regularly.

6.Get enough rest/sleep.


7.Avoid crowded area.

8.Measure your temperature. If it is not above 38 C (100.4 F), you probably don’t have influenza.

9.Don’t smoke.


If you have the following symptoms:

1.Flu
2.Fever
3.Cough
4.Chills
5.Difficulty in breathing

6.Sore Throat
7.Headache
8.Body Ache
9.Diarrhea
10.Vomitting

1.Seek IMMEDIATE treatment from a doctor.
